The Township of Guelph/Eramosa is proud to help Canada celebrate its 150th Birthday!

As part of Guelph/Eramosa Township's celebrations to commemorate Canada's 150th Birthday, we are inviting residents and businesses to submit a winning planting. Plant your red and white flowers to show off your national pride! Have fun as an individual or with your neighbours by working on a streetscape.
Contest entries must be made by residents of GET
Photos must be of a location within GET
Photo entries must be a minimum resolution of 200-300 dpi

Deadline for submissions is October 15, 2017
A panel of judges will be appointed to judge the photo submissions and the winner will have their gardening talents captured in time by local artist, John Root.

A local volunteer has made a time capsule which will be buried for 100 years at the Rockmosa Skate Park in Rockwood on August 3, 2017.
We're looking for submissions of time capsule content. Specifically we’re looking for:
Publications (i.e. newspapers, magazines)
Letters from residents
Significant pop culture items (i.e. magazines, newspaper articles, small trendy toy)
A list of popular expressions (i.e. slang)
Stamps, coins, best-selling novels, copy of a movie
Picture of the price fuel
Community based material (i.e. restaurant menu, local event flyer and/or ticket)
Additionally, if you have something you feel is signficant to this era, we'd welcome it to be included in our time capsule. Should we run out of room, items will be returned to the submitter.
Deadline for submissions is July 15, 2017.

Join the Guelph/Eramosa Heritage Committee on July 8th at the Marden Community Centre for the unveiling of the heritage wall. This replica barn was made using the surviving old growth white cedar logs from one of the first log cabins in Guelph Township. Stick around for the Ariss Lion's Club "Heritage Day" feature a classic car show at the Royal Distributing Athletic Performance Centre.
