2018 Party in the Park - with fireworks!

Our community spoke - and we listened!  After the success of our Rockmosa Park Skate Park Grand Opening last year, we are going to host another Party in the Park in 2018!

This is a FREE event - for admission and all activities!


Thursday August 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Activities will end at 9:30 p.m., just in time for fireworks!


Rockmosa Park (110 Rockmosa Drive, Rockwood) 

What's Happening?


  • Fireworks - starting at 9:30 p.m.
  • Live entertainment, including a steel drum band and classic rock band Black Water Trio
  • Axe throwing (Riot Axe) NOTE: Must be 13 years or older and must have closed toed shoes
  • Paw Patrol and Minion Characters
  • Street performers ( and "Devil in Disguise" street and circus performer)
  • Rock climbing wall (Guelph Grotto)
  • Gaming trailer (Game Trucks GT
  • Caricature artist
  • Petting zoo
  • Face painting
  • Bouncy castles
  • Wild Ontario (a live bird of prey exhibit)
  • GRCA Creepy Critter Show
  • Andre Bisson Duo (find them in the Cafe Tent)
  • Splash pad and skate park on-site!

What To Bring

  • Blanket or lawn chairs for fireworks
  • Cash (not credit or debit) for food and drink
  • Water bottle
  • Closed toed shoes if you would like to participate in axe throwing (13 years and older)
  • Bike, skateboard, scooters for skate park
  • Clothing for splash pad

Student Volunteers Needed!

We are looking for high school student volunteers to help with the upcoming 2018 Party in the Park!

This event offers a fun opportunity to help out and get involved in the community! And it can count towards the 40 hours of community involvement needed!
