The Township of Guelph/Eramosa relies on its citizens to volunteer their time and knowledge to serving on various Committees. These Committees give input and recommendations on matters that affect the community.

Committee of Adjustment
The Committee of Adjustment is composed of three members, who are appointed by the Council of the Township of Guelph/Eramosa. The Committee of Adjustment is authorized by the Ontario Planning Act to grant minor variances from the provisions of the Zoning By-law and to permit extensions, enlargements or variations of existing legal non-conforming uses.

Election Compliance Audit Committee
The Election Compliance Audit Committee considers applications from voters, who are entitled to vote in an election and who believe that a candidate has contravened a provision of the Municipal Elections Act, relating to election campaign finances.

The Heritage Committee advises and assists Council on matters relating to the conservation of properties of historic or architectural value and supports civic interest in heritage conservation.

The Committee of the Whole facilitates the decision-making process of Council and makes recommendations to Council. The purpose of this Committee to provide a forum for policy and debate and public input on issues within Council's area of responsibility. The Committee of the Whole system provides an opportunity for all Members of Council to participate in the discussions that result in the Committee's final recommendation to Council.
