2015 Budget 

The annual budget serves as the basis for Council’s decision-making. The budget process shows how the Township turns goals and priorities into action and allows for our community members to provide input on the priorities for the coming year.

At the Public meeting on February 9, 2015, there was a Presentation of the 2015 Proposed Budget to the Public

The Budget By-law waas considered for Council approval at the February 17, 2015 Regular Meeting of Council.  

WhO Is Involved in the process? 


All Members of Council review and provide input on the annual budget at Council Meetings and/or Committee Meetings.   All meetings are open to the public and agendas are posted on the Township website in advance of each meeting.  The Township’s CAO and Department Heads present to Council and Committee an overview of service levels, cost pressures and new initiatives for Council Members to consider.   The Director of Finance provides an overview of the Township’s current and projected finances. 


At the public meeting on February 9, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, members of the public are welcome to attend for the presentation of the 2015 proposed budget and to provide input.

The Township has developed a Budget Information Package to our taxpayers about the annual budget process and how the public can provide input on the Township’s budget and priorities for the coming year.  

Timelines and Process

At budget meetings, Council will hear an overview of the Township’s finances and draft plan for providing programs and services for the year ahead. The annual budget will guide the development of priorities and ensures that the Township can deliver programs and services approved for 2015.

Below is a list of the upcoming budget meetings at Council and/or Committee Meetings:

  • January 21, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Strategic Planning Committee 
  • January 27, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Special Meeting of Council
  • February 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Special Meeting of Council
  • BUDGET PUBLIC MEETING on February 9, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Special Meeting of Council
