Prior to construction (including driveway paving or tree planting) that may interfere with municipal water or wastewater infrastructure, excavators are required to contact the owner (Guelph/Eramosa Township) of the service and request to locate and mark the service prior to starting any excavation (Ontario Health and Safety Act O.Reg 213/91, S.228).
All locates are valid for 30 days from when the locate is completed. If the work extends beyond the 30 days, excavators must resubmit a locate request to the Guelph/Eramosa Township before continuing with excavation.
