The Township of Guelph/Eramosa operates two separate water distribution systems: one located in Rockwood and one located in the Hamilton Drive subdivision.
The Water/Wastewater Department performs daily checks and weekly bacterial checks on both water systems, as well as five other small municipal non-residential systems within the Township.

We require your name, address and phone number and also 48 hours notice so that we may schedule our staff accordingly.
The charge for a same day water service disconnection/reconnection is $83.70 and the work must take place during regular working hours, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday. We will attend, turn the water off, and the homeowner or the plumber can call 519-856-9596 ext. 122 when they are ready to have the water turned back on.
If it is an emergency (i.e. a water line break) we will attend immediately. If an after hours water stuff off is required, the charge is $184.15.
The Township of Guelph/Eramosa is responsible for administering and collecting water and wastewater billing for residents that have municipal water services.

Should the curb stop be located within your driveway, we strongly encourage property owners to ensure at the contractors confirm with the Water/Wastewater Department that these curb stops are functioning properly prior to paving and that it remains accessible upon the completion of the driveway. Should the curb stop be buried, any repairs to your driveway will be at the property owner's expense.
