The Local Planning Appeal Tribunal issued an Interim Order of the Tribunal on February 11, 2020..

UPDATE: April 5, 2018

A pre-hearing with the Ontario Municipal Board was held on April 5, 2018. At this pre-hearing, a hearing date of May 21 - July 12, 2019 was set. The hearing will be held at the Municipal Office located at 8348 Wellington Road 124, Rockwood.

UPDATE: October 22, 2017

A pre-hearing with the Ontario Municipal Board was held on October 22, 2017. Following the pre-hearing an additional pre-hearing date of April 5, 2018 has been set  for this appeal. The date of the hearing has not yet been determined.

OMB Pre-Hearing ZBA 06/2016 – Hidden Quarry

UPDATE: April 20, 2017:

A notice of appeal has been filed with the Township by JDCL citing Council’s lack of decision regarding their application to amend the Township’s Zoning By-law 40/2016 through application ZBA 06/2016.


The Township of Guelph/Eramosa has received a Zoning By-law Amendment application for the above-noted property and the application was considered complete at the Council Meeting of December 19, 2016 for the purposes of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, c. P. 13.

The prior Zoning By-law Amendment Application ZBA 09/12 - James Dick Construction Ltd. (Hidden Quarry) was appealed on May 25, 2015 to the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB).  The OMB file on the previous application is now closed.

Since this is a new Zoning By-law Amendment application under the Planning Act, the Township is required to create a new contact list for further notification.  If you are interested in providing comments on this new application or if you would like to be notified of any future meetings/updates regarding this new application, please provide your name, address, city, province, postal code and telephone number to the attention of:

Comments with respect to this Zoning By-law Amendment should be provided before February 10, 2017 and/or a written request for notification must be resubmitted to the Township Clerk as indicated above. 

A statutory public meeting, to receive input from members of the public, will be held at a later date. Updates will be posted to www.get.on.ca/hiddenquarry2016 as they become available.  

 

The applicant has also filed a related application to the County of Wellington to revise Schedule A3 of the County of Wellington Official Plan (Township of Guelph/Eramosa).
